Spin-on filters for line installation or mounting on tanks have a very simple design and consist of two essential components: the spin-on filter head – usually made from aluminum – and the attached spin-on filter element with durable metal jacket (also referred to as the filter cartridge). When the element is changed, it is unscrewed and disposed of as a whole unit. This cost-effective design ensures a particularly high cost–benefit factor compared to other filter types.
